There is no way to know who will develop cancer or other health problems from HPV infection. However, HPV vaccination could prevent more than 90% of the estimated 33,700 cases of cancer attributable to HPV infection that are diagnosed each year in the U.S. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, Asian and Pacific Islander women are 20% less likely to be immunized against HPV compared to non-Hispanic White women.
